Volunteer!

You have too much time on your hands. Or, you waste your time watching TV. You're bored as hell. You need new friends. You want to feel like you're doing something good, for somebody.

Well, here's a potential solution: Volunteer!

If you know how to use Google or any other search engine, it should be relatively easy to find a volunteering opportunity in a location near you. Apart from being a resume booster, it'll get you out of the house, and will probably make you feel pretty damn good about yourself.

A French and Spanish film, "Diary of a Nymphomaniac" stars a young woman that loves sex and is a surprisingly inspiring character. She exudes confidence and independence, but not without a few slips along the way. Worth checking out.

Most songs are about requited love, or other types of happy-dandy mutual human connection - what if you need some songs about being independent?
